CubeSat Workshop

Alaska Space Grant students at University of Alaska Fairbanks have teamed up with the Oregon Space Grant to host a workshop that walks through the process of developing a science mission and building space hardware. This workshop is dedicated to students who have questions about building CubeSats and those who have answers. Click this link for more infomation about the workshop.

How to get

Registration will be coming soon.

We are currently looking for students to share their experinces in building cubesats. Any students with knowledge and experience about satellite systems including cubsats are welcome to participate and share what they have learned. Please contact Morgan Johnson if you would like to be a session faciliator.

Draft Agenda

Check out our agenda, we have a lot packed in our two day workshop. If you have any questions please contact us at the bottom of this page.

We are still looking for 3 more facilitators. If you are interested in participating by helping our breakout sessions we need these sections covered;

Command & Data Handling

Please Contact Alaska Space Grant if you are intrested in being a facilitator.

Students from Alaska Space Grant at University of Alaska Fairbanks built and launchd their first CubeSat in October 2015. Our team started with nothing and were able to design a satellite. Through this process students learned about building spacecraft that they would like to share with other students doing the same thing. Over the time that it took us to build our hardware, there were many moments that we wished we knew how to do something or where to find the information. We hope that by putting on this workshop we can bring like minded people together and many students that are currently facing these questions someone can be there to provide feedback.
